Today I’m carrying on with our look at the Pantone colours for Spring/Summer 2015, although for us in Australia that won’t be for a while after the rest of the world. I’m particularly liking today’s colour, Marsala, as it reminds me more of an Autumn colour and gives me that immediate feeling of cosiness. It is such a vibrant and rich colour that it is a real contrast to the other hues and add a feeling of warmth that the other colours don’t have. For me I would love to see it teamed with either cream for a more subtle approach or a dusky blue to really set it off and give it a more unique look.
Here’s what Pantone had to say about Marsala. “Sensual and bold, delicious Marsala is a daringly inviting tone that nurtures, exuding confidence and stability while feeding the body, mind, and soul. Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this robust shade incorporates the warmth and richness of a tastefully fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots point to a sophisticated, natural earthiness.”
